Latino Advance Care Planning Fair

In conjunction with National Healthcare Decisions Day, Hospice & Community Care is hosting the Latino Advance Care Planning Fair on Saturday, April 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Iglesia Jesucristo Es El Rey, 440 Pershing Avenue, Lancaster. Everyone is welcome.

This event is a chance for attendees to learn how to ensure their and their family's wishes are honored at end of life and meet with community leaders to plan their future in the event of a serious illness diagnosis.

Advance care planning allows people to decide in advance what care they want to receive if they become unable to speak for themselves. Rather than leave their treatment options up to others, they are able to leave instructions that take their values and preferences into account and eliminate the uncertainty for their doctors and family members. National Healthcare Decisions Day is April 16.

Admission is free. Light refreshments will be provided. For more information, contact Deb Gonzalez at (717) 391-2413 or visit www.hospicecommunity.org.
