Creating a Culture of Excellence


This session introduces the coaching method with a special focus on active listening. The workshop provides reality-based examples, personal communication style assessment and opportunities to role-play communication techniques.

As the first session of Coaching as an Approach to Supervision, facilitated by Melanie A. DeSantis, MPA, that introduces participants to coaching and how to use coaching techniques to develop competence and motivation in employees. The two-part series is designed for individuals who are new to managing other staff members and those who want to refresh their supervision techniques with fresh knowledge and skills.

Because the series is best if taken in its entirety, participants must participate in this module to be considered for Module 2. Module 1 only registrants will be considered.
