Melanie brings together her knowledge of public administration and her training in theatre when she facilitates professional development workshops for both university and community-based groups.  Past experience includes the oversight and implementation of regional training programs for various companies, government entities and institutions of higher education in Texas, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania.  Locally, she has taken her skills to various agencies outside the university, including both Hospice of Lancaster County and Lancaster General Hospital.
