HQ Program Director

Position Summary
Power Packs Project is seeking a highly motivated and independent Program Director for the Lancaster program and to oversee the startup of its regional programs. As part of the headquarters leadership team, this position will oversee Regional Directors and will report directly to the executive director at Power Packs.

The HQ Program Director will oversee coordination and administration of all aspects of the Lancaster program and will support regional program directors to ensure program objectives are met; responsible for budgeting and community outreach; ensure ongoing local programmatic excellence, program evaluation, fundraising and communications, and will support Executive Director to achieve strategic goals.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The Program Director performs a wide range of duties including some or all of the following:

- Support the Lancaster program and guide regional directors with their activities in accordance with the mission and goals of Power Packs

- Fundraise to support the continuous delivery of services to the Lancaster Program

- Communicate with prospective donors and other supporters to gain community support and solicit funding support for the program

- Ensure all regional and partners receive orientation and appropriate training in accordance with organizational standards

- Guide regional program directors to ensure that the programs operate within the approved budget

Bachelor's degree required. Minimum three years professional leadership experience preferred.

- Solid, hands-on, budget management skills, including budget preparation, analysis, decision-making, and reporting
- Strong organizational abilities including planning, delegating, program development, and task facilitation
- Ability to convey a vision of Power Packs Project's strategic future to staff, volunteers, and donors
- Knowledge of fundraising strategies and donor relations unique to the nonprofit sector
- Skills to oversee, collaborate with and motivate staff and volunteers
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Experience managing and working with volunteers
- Ability to interface and engage donor groups
- Strong public speaking ability
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Time management and prioritization required
- Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel
- Interpersonal and relational skills, as well as demonstrating sensitivity to people of varied economic and cultural backgrounds
