Full-time Permanent Supportive Housing Case Manager

Tabor Community Services, a non-profit organization providing programs and services in housing and financial counseling in Lancaster County, is seeking a full time Case Manager for our Permanent Supportive Housing programs.
The successful applicant for this full time position will have the patience and compassion to work with families who are homeless and need to obtain and maintain housing, and families who were homeless, are now housed and need on-going support to maintain their housing. Necessary skills include active listening, ability to help clients identify their personal strengths, creative thinking and problem solving. Other relevant skills include budget counseling, tenant/landlord education, familiarity with community resources, case management experience and proficiency with computers and the Microsoft Office programs, including Word and Excel. Strong written and verbal skills essential.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in human services preferred. Minimum of a 2 year degree AND relevant work experience
- Familiarity with homeless service system and providers
- Knowledge or understanding of tenants rights and responsibilities
- Ability to work collaboratively with other staff and service providers
- A conviction about the capacity of people to grow and change
- A commitment to empowering others to solve their own problems
- Valid drivers license and legal vehicle that is registered, inspected and insured
- Fluency in English is required; fluency in Spanish is an added asset
This is a full time position, 40 hours per week.
