Executive Director

The newly created Ephrata Development Organization, a public/private partnership is seeking an experienced, dynamic, self-motivated, organized leader to guide the new organization through its goal of promoting and expanding economic development within the Borough of Ephrata.

The experienced applicant's qualifications must include:

- Understanding of small community economic development

- Experience with local, state and federal economic development
programs

- Knowledge of community business attraction and growth through
practical experience

- Municipal and/or not for profit organizational Budget and
Finance experience

- Understanding of municipal financial regulatory and reporting
requirements

- Strong organizational skills to guide a volunteer board and
committees

- Experience in the coordination of professional and consultative
services in conjunction with economic development activities

- Project management expertise including the development,
organization, administration and completion of organizational
development projects

- Verifiable expertise in the coordination, management and report
of multiple tasks

- Successful experience in implementing a strategic
communications plan necessary to promote the activities of the
organization

- Ability to work in both a political and private sector
collaborative environment

The position is a full-time opportunity with a limited budget, but offers the opportunity for the correct person to shine in the economic development community through well-funded, successful development opportunities.

While at the current time the organization does not have additional staff, the executive director must have shown experience in office and project staff management.

The position will require evening meetings, occasional weekend activities and regional travel including economic development meetings and conventions.

Salary range is $40-$45K annually.
